KANO GOVERNOR MOURNS ELDER STATESMAN SHEHU YAHAYA

Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has expressed deep sadness over the death of elder statesman, Alhaji Shehu Yahaya, describing the loss as a significant blow to both Kano State and the country.
In a condolence message released on Sunday by his spokesperson, Sunusi Tofa, the governor paid tribute to the late Yahaya as an accomplished businessman whose life was defined by honesty, integrity and dedicated service to humanity.
Yusuf noted that Yahaya remained devoted to the growth and development of his Dakata Kawaji community in Nasarawa Local Government Area and consistently promoted peace, leaving behind a lasting legacy of selfless service, exemplary leadership and generosity.
The passing of Alhaji Shehu Yahaya is a painful loss not only to his family but also to the entire people of Kano State. We have lost a father, a respected businessman and a patriotic citizen whose contributions to humanity and society will continue to be remembered for generations,” Yusuf was quoted as saying.
He prayed that Almighty Allah forgives the shortcomings of the deceased, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus and give his family, loved ones and the people of Kano State the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
The deceased is survived by many children, including a Senior Manager with Gerawa Group of Companies, Muhammad Shehu.
