LASEPA SEALS 12 ESTABLISHMENTS OVER ENVIRONMENTAL VIOLATIONS IN LAGOS

The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency has sealed 12 establishments, including a church, hotels, lounges and a nightclub, across parts of the state over alleged persistent violations of environmental regulations.

LASEPA disclosed this in a statement posted on its official X handle on Wednesday, saying the enforcement operation was carried out on Tuesday, September 22, 2026.

According to the agency, the affected establishments had allegedly continued to violate environmental regulations despite repeated warnings, abatement notices and opportunities to comply with its directives.

The enforcement exercise covered areas including Ogba, Idimu-Ikota, Ejigbo, LASU-Iba Road, Igando and Agodo-Egbe.

LASEPA said the action was carried out in line with directives of the Lagos State Government to ensure compliance with environmental laws and protect public health.

Among the establishments sealed was Thrillz Lounge on Odusanmi Street, Ogba, which was shut over alleged noise pollution and non-compliance with the agency’s directives.

Other affected establishments include Feixiang Plastic along LASU-Ojo Road, Oko Filling Bus Stop, which was sealed for non-compliance with LASEPA’s directives.

Marvel Hotel & Suites at Chrisbee Crescent, BRT Bus Stop, Igando, was sealed over alleged noise pollution and non-compliance.

Keviz Hotel & Suites on Councilor Ajayi Street, Obadore Bus Stop, LASU-Iba Road, was sealed for alleged obstruction of duty and non-compliance with the agency’s directives.

DSN Hotel & Suites on Benson Onyeacholen Street, O’Mark Bus Stop, LASU-Igando Road, was also sealed for non-compliance.

Rudaj Vegetable Oil on Tanimowo Street, Ologufe Bus Stop, Igando Road, was similarly sealed over alleged non-compliance.

The Celestial Church of Christ, Aduragbemi Parish, on Adetola Buhari Street, Okerube Bus Stop, Ikotun, was sealed for alleged noise pollution and non-compliance with LASEPA’s directives.

Limas, located on Aro-Oloye Street, off Abaranje Road, Abaranje, Ikotun, was also sealed for non-compliance.

Nico Hotel & Suites at Ayawo Close, NEPA Bus Stop, Egbe-Isolo Road, Ejigbo, was sealed for alleged non-compliance with the agency’s directives.

Kobo Night Club on Abanishe Street, off Hostel Road, Agodo-Egbe, was sealed over alleged noise pollution and non-compliance.

Master Furniture on Coleman Street, Pao Bus Stop, Idimu-Ikota Road, was sealed for non-compliance, while Nikky’s Executive Bar & Lounge on Governor’s Road, Ikotun, was also shut for the same reason.

Speaking on the enforcement exercise, the General Manager of LASEPA, Dr Babatunde Ajayi, reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to protecting public health and preserving the environment.

Ajayi urged business owners, facility operators, religious institutions, scrap dealers and residents across the state to adopt environmentally responsible practices and obtain all necessary permits and approvals.

He also called on operators to comply with applicable environmental regulations and cooperate with LASEPA in its efforts to build a cleaner, healthier and more sustainable Lagos.

The agency said it would continue its enforcement activities across the state to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
