More Nigerians are expected to return to the country from South Africa this week amid renewed xenophobic attacks targeting Nigerians and other foreign nationals.
Sources familiar with the development confirmed the planned return to Vanguard on Wednesday night, saying a number of Nigerians were expected to arrive in Nigeria.
The development comes amid growing concerns over the safety of Nigerians living and doing business in South Africa.
However, the exact number of Nigerians expected to return has not been disclosed.
Further details on the number of returnees are expected to emerge as the exercise progresses.
