According to NiMet, the central region is expected to experience sunny conditions with patches of clouds during the forecast period.

For the southern region, the agency predicted sunny skies with patches of clouds in the morning hours, with the likelihood of isolated thunderstorms accompanied by light rainfall later in the day.

NiMet stated that the thunderstorms may affect parts of Ondo, Ogun, Lagos, Rivers, Delta, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Edo and Bayelsa states.

The agency further disclosed that similar weather conditions are expected to persist on Saturday, with sunny skies forecast across the northern region throughout the day.

It added that the central region would continue to experience sunny skies with patches of clouds, while the southern region is expected to have sunny conditions with cloudy intervals during the morning hours.

NiMet advised residents to stay informed on weather updates and take necessary precautions, particularly in areas where thunderstorms and light rainfall are anticipated.
