Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has accused the man who filed an assault case against him of submitting a falsified hospital report as evidence in court.

The rapper made the allegation during an interview with NewsCentral TV on Friday, where he recounted his version of the incident that led to the legal dispute and explained why he rejected his lawyers’ advice to settle the matter out of court.

The suit was filed in November 2025 by Levi Ogbogiri, popularly known as Kraziecent, who accused Odumodublvck of assaulting him at a public event on December 16, 2024, while he was taking photographs and recording videos.

Ogbogiri alleged that the incident left him with injuries, emotional distress and damage to his iPhone 15 Pro Max.

He reportedly sought reimbursement for his medical expenses, a public apology or N2bn in damages.

At the court sitting on October 14, 2026, Odumodublvck was ordered to pay N125,000 in costs after his lawyer requested an adjournment to prepare for the case.

The proceedings were subsequently adjourned until December 8 for the hearing of the defence’s application to amend its statement of defence.

Recounting the events leading to the dispute, Odumodublvck alleged that the complainant was brought to his residence by a mutual friend and began recording him without his consent.

According to the rapper, the man attempted to film him at different locations, including the staircase of his house and the car park.

He added that his dancer also cautioned the man against recording him, but the incident continued at a listening party.

“He tried to do it again. And I knew that, okay, this guy was looking for something,” the rapper said.

Speaking about their confrontation at the event, he said, “Then we had a confrontation. Then when we got into the show, I pulled him up on stage. I’m like, yo, you were out of line.”

Odumodublvck claimed that they appeared to have resolved their disagreement at the event, noting that the complainant even danced with him while recording.

“And he’s like, we’re good. And there’s a video of him even dancing with me, videoing me,” he said.

However, the rapper said he was surprised to discover the footage online the following morning.

“Only for the next morning I’m seeing the video online. And he’s happy about the video. He went to meet a friend, the person who brought him,” he added.

He further alleged that someone had suggested to the complainant that he could make money from the incident, prompting him to institute the assault case.

Odumodublvck said his lawyers initially advised him to settle the matter, but he rejected the suggestion because he maintained that he had not assaulted the complainant.

He referenced the late American singer Michael Jackson, whom he said had settled an allegation despite maintaining his innocence.

“This is what happened to Michael Jackson. He settled when he didn’t do it. So that’s what made a lot of people pile up cases,” he said.

Explaining his decision to pursue the case in court, the rapper said, “You can’t settle if you did not do it. Nobody can even put a gun to my head.

“I’d rather be in the gallows for a year than settle for what I did not do. And I said, I’m not going to settle.”

He added that he agreed to defend himself in court despite the financial implications.

“And they said, OK, let’s go to court. Yes, I said, let’s go to court. By God’s grace, I get money to go to court,” he said.

The rapper subsequently accused the complainant of presenting fabricated documents, including a hospital report, during the proceedings.

“So they went to the court and the boy brought fake documents. He brought a falsified hospital report,” Odumodublvck alleged.

Describing himself as a public figure and international artiste, he said he believed his celebrity status could influence public perception of the allegations.

“But luckily for me, I’m even innocent,” he added.

Odumodublvck also explained his absence from a previous court sitting, saying he had changed his legal representation and the lawyer expected to appear on his behalf had travelled to the United Kingdom.

“I didn’t show up because I changed my representation. The guy that was meant to represent me, he went to the UK to go and meet his twin brother. So we could not get it,” he said.

He, however, acknowledged the need to attend subsequent proceedings, adding, “Going forward, I’ll be there.”

Despite the ongoing legal dispute, the rapper expressed confidence in the outcome of the case.

“I’m winning the case now, by the way,” he said.

He also described his pursuit of justice as one of the challenges he had encountered in his career, expressing optimism that he would overcome the situation.

“While fighting for justice in the sight of plain truth, I’ve faced so much barrage, I’ve faced so much sting. But at the end of the day, we’ll thrive, Inshallah,” he said.
