OFF-SEASON GUBER: KOGI LGA CHAIRMAN ALLEGEDLY ARRESTED WITH AMMUNITION, CASH
Security operatives on Saturday allegedly arrested the council chairman of Igalamela Local Government Area of Kogi State, James Onoja, for possession of ammunition and lots of cash.

In a viral video on social media, Mr Onoja who wore a white Caftan was arrested with other boys and was forced to sit on the ground.
The money and the ammunition, which were packed in several ‘Ghana-must-go’ bags, were allegedly meant for use during the election.
The Police Public Relations Officer in Kogi State, William Ovye did not respond to inquiries at the time of filing this report.
It’s been alleged that the elections so far have been marred with several allegations of vote-buying amidst low voter turnout.
The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Dino Melaiye has called for cancellation of elections conducted in five LGAs in the state.
