OMOKRI, CHARLY BOY CELEBRATE PETER OBI AT 65

Nigerian Ambassador-designate to Mexico, Reno Omokri, and veteran entertainer Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, have congratulated the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, Peter Obi, on his 65th birthday.
Obi turned 65 on Sunday, attracting goodwill messages from political associates, supporters and admirers across the country.
In a message shared on his X handle, Omokri prayed for the former Anambra State governor’s long life, good health and greater wisdom.
He also commended Obi’s contributions to Nigeria’s democratic process, noting that his active participation in politics had inspired greater civic engagement among his supporters.
“Scripture says, ‘Iron sharpens iron,’ and you embody that. By being active in the political process, you have helped sharpen your followers, making them more conscious and engaged in the democratic life of Nigeria. For that, you have my admiration,” Omokri wrote.
The ambassador-designate added that he and his family joined others in celebrating Obi, wishing him continued God’s blessings and many more years in good health.
Also felicitating Obi, Charly Boy described the former Labour Party presidential candidate as a courageous leader whose commitment to Nigeria continued to inspire hope among millions of citizens.
In a series of posts on his X page, the entertainer prayed for Obi’s strength, courage and resilience in the face of criticism.
“As you add another year, may your strength increase. May your courage multiply. And may your love for this country survive all the attacks, insults and distractions,” he wrote.
Charly Boy further praised Obi for giving many Nigerians, particularly young people, renewed hope that a better country remains possible.
“In a country where many people don stop expecting anything from their leaders, you somehow make millions believe say better Nigeria is still possible. Well done. That no be small thing,” he added.
The birthday messages come as Obi marked his 65th birthday on Sunday, with prominent Nigerians and supporters paying tribute to his political journey and contributions to the nation’s democratic development.
