The deputy governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the ongoing Osun State governorship election, Kayode Adereti, has commended the impressive turnout of voters across the state.
Adereti, who spoke shortly after casting his ballot at Ward 11, Unit 3, Ilare, in Ife Central Local Government Area, also praised the security arrangements and the smooth operation of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System.
He described the electoral process at his polling unit as peaceful, saying voters had turned out in large numbers to exercise their civic responsibility.
“The turnout is impressive and the security is perfect. The BVAS is working well, and everyone is happy here,” he said.
Adereti urged more residents who were yet to vote to come out and participate in the election, expressing confidence in the electorate’s readiness to choose their preferred candidate.
“We are ready, and the people are ready to make Osun a better place,” he said.
He also appealed to voters, political parties and their supporters to remain peaceful, orderly and law-abiding throughout the voting and collation processes.
