The Lagos State Government has commissioned a new Fresh Food Hub in Agege as part of efforts to improve food distribution, reduce post-harvest losses and ensure residents have access to fresh and affordable food.
The facility is designed to provide a structured environment for the storage, processing and distribution of agricultural produce, while also creating opportunities for farmers, traders and other stakeholders within the food value chain.

The initiative is expected to strengthen food security across the state, improve market efficiency and contribute to the economic empowerment of residents. The government also reiterated its commitment to developing modern food infrastructure and creating a more sustainable food system for Lagosians.
