PICTURE STORY: GCIOBA LAGOS BRANCH CELEBRATES EXCELLENCE, HONOURS DISTINGUISHED OLD BOYS AT 2026 ANNUAL LUNCHEON

Government College Ibadan Old Boys Association (GCIOBA), Lagos Branch, on Sunday hosted its 2026 Annual Luncheon and Merit Awards Ceremony at Queens Park Event Centre, Lagos, bringing together generations of Old Boys, distinguished guests, award recipients and supporters to celebrate excellence, service and the enduring legacy of the prestigious institution. The event featured networking, fundraising for the continued development of Government College Ibadan, and recognition of alumni who have made remarkable contributions to the association and society.
A major highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of the prestigious Victor Ludorum Award to Olusegun Adedeji of the 1953 Set in recognition of his exceptional commitment to the Lagos Branch and the advancement of the association. Speakers at the event reaffirmed their commitment to sustaining the school’s tradition of academic excellence through alumni support, mentorship, infrastructure development and investment in future generations of Government College Ibadan students.
