Financial expert and social media personality, Gehgeh, has taken a swipe at Nigeria’s senior male national football team, the Super Eagles, following the achievement of the country’s female Under-17 team.
In a video circulating online, Gehgeh congratulated the young female footballers but questioned why the senior men’s team had continued to struggle to secure major international trophies despite having several talented players.
He referenced Nigerian football stars, including Victor Osimhen, Boniface, Ahmed Musa and former international Austin ‘Jay-Jay’ Okocha, while expressing disappointment over the Super Eagles’ record.
Gehgeh further challenged the senior team to relinquish the eagle symbol if they could not deliver trophies for the country, suggesting that it should be replaced with a local fowl.
“If una know say una no go win anything for Nigeria, make una remove that eagle wey dey Super Eagles and put Urobo fowl there because it is a shame to Nigerians,” he said.
