TAJUDEEN ADEGBENGA ELIAS CONFIRMED AS LAGOS HIGH COURT CHIEF REGISTRAR
The Lagos State Judiciary has confirmed Mr. Tajudeen Adegbenga Elias as the Chief Registrar of the High Court of Lagos State, with effect from January 2, 2025.
A distinguished legal practitioner and judicial administrator, Mr. Elias brings nearly three decades of experience to the role. He earned his law degree from Lagos State University, Ojo, in 1994 and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1996.
He began his legal career at the law firm of Sola Idowu (SAN) & Co., where he practiced from 1997 to 1999 before joining the Lagos State Judiciary as a magistrate. Since then, he has built a commendable career, serving in several key judicial and administrative positions, including Coroner in the Ikeja Magisterial District, Chairman of the Family Court, and Deputy Chief Registrar (Administration) at the High Court in Ikeja.
Prior to his confirmation, he served as Acting Chief Registrar, where he demonstrated strong leadership and a deep understanding of judicial processes and court administration.

Mr. Elias has also pursued extensive professional development both locally and internationally, participating in judicial training programs in the United Kingdom and the United States. His commitment to institutional growth and reform has seen him actively contribute to various strategic committees within the judiciary, many of which he currently chairs.
His confirmation as Chief Registrar is widely regarded as a recognition of his professionalism, integrity, and enduring dedication to the administration of justice in Lagos State.
