Nigerian singer Rollex Dee, a former protégé of popular Fuji musician Taye Currency, is reportedly unwell while in police custody.

In a video circulating online, Rollex Dee’s mother raised concerns over her son’s condition, claiming that the family was informed two days ago that the singer had fallen ill and was vomiting blood.

Appealing for help, she said, “Nigerians, please come to my rescue. I received a call two days ago that my son was ill and vomiting blood. Please don’t let them kill my son in police custody.”

The claims have sparked concerns over the singer’s health and wellbeing while in custody.

This is coming months after Rollex was arrested and detained by the Oyo State police command

The media reports that the singer was arrested in April 2026, for allegedly defaming Taiye Currency while granting an interview on ‘Agbaletu’ program

Confirming his arrest, the command on its X platform, stated that its officers tracked Rolex to Lagos after receiving a petition from Taye Currency.

Despite the public outcry and plea for his release, Rollex has remained in police custody since April.
