TINUBU DEDICATED TO ELIMINATING TERRORISM, INSECURITY

HOTJIST NEWS
The Presidency has described President Bola Tinubu as a leader committed to putting a stop to terrorism and restoring national unity, and it has reiterated his commitment to addressing insecurity and encouraging peaceful coexistence among Nigerians. In a post published on X on Tuesday, Sunday Dare, the Special Adviser to the President on Policy Communication, praised Tinubu’s emphasis on harmony and peacebuilding.
He wrote, “Nigeria is now blessed with a President that is committed to ending the scourge of terror and insecurity.
“One who embodies the essential Nigerian story of peaceful faith relations.
“President Bola Tinubu is ready and steadfast in the pursuit of collaborations to advance religious peace and tolerance, better economic ties, and building a resilient country.”
Noting that common experiences have united Nigerians of all religions, the presidential adviser emphasized that the country’s diversity should continue to be a source of strength rather than divisiveness.
In his words, “While our faiths will continue to differ; our destinies do not. Nigeria is not a land of persecution; it is a land of opportunities.
“It is a land of shared grief and shared hope — where Christians and Muslims have suffered together.
“They will rebuild together, and will, by God’s grace, continue to rise together.”
Dare’s comments precede President Tinubu and his US counterpart, Donald Trump, in their much awaited meeting about claims of a “Christian genocide” in Nigeria. In a previous post on X, Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser to the President on Policy Communication, revealed the upcoming meeting and stated that the main topics of discussion will be counterterrorism cooperation and clearing up misunderstandings regarding the nature of attacks in Nigeria.
