UD ALMERÍA TO DONATE TICKET SALES TO LATE JESÚS DE MIGUEL’S FAMILY

Spanish club UD Almería have announced plans to donate all proceeds from ticket sales for their home fixture against CD Tenerife to support the family of Jesús de Miguel.
The initiative, introduced by the club’s president, Mohammed Al Khereiji, is aimed at providing financial assistance to the bereaved family following their loss.
In announcing the decision, the club expressed its condolences to the family, acknowledging that no amount of financial support could compensate for the loss of a loved one.
According to ESPN on Wednesday, the club stated, “We are fully aware that nothing can ever compensate for the loss of a loved one, and that no form of support, whether financial or emotional, can ease the pain caused by a tragedy of this kind.”
Although recognising that the gesture cannot erase the family’s grief, UD Almería expressed hope that donating the entire matchday revenue would offer some relief during the difficult period.
The initiative is being spearheaded by Al Khereiji, who serves as the club’s president.
The development has also drawn attention to the club’s ownership structure, following the acquisition of a 25 per cent stake in UD Almería by Portuguese football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo earlier this year.
