UNILAG LECTURER AND FOURSQUARE PASTOR, DR BONIFACE EXPOSED IN BBC’S ‘SEX-FOR-GRADES’ UNDERCOVER REPORT

In an exclusive investigative report, the British Broadcasting Commission BBC has released an undercover video alleging that some of the female students higher institutions in Africa, especially in Nigeria and Ghana have been sexually harassed by their lecturers.

BBC who via their official page disclosed that lecturers in West African institutions have been allegedly harassing students over the years, decided to carry out undercover research, sending journalists to some prominent institutions in the two countries under investigations.

“Academic institutions in West Africa have increasingly been facing allegations of sexual harassment by lecturers. This type of abuse is said to be endemic, but it’s almost never proven,” BBC wrote.


Dozens of testimonies were said to have been gathered by “BBC Africa Eye” after journalists posing as students were sent inside the prestigious University of Lagos and the University of Ghana.

According to the BBC, Female reporters were sexually harassed, propositioned and put under pressure by senior lecturers at the institutions all the while wearing secret cameras.

Reporter Kiki Mordi, who knows first-hand how devastating sexual harassment can be, reveals what happens behind closed doors at some of the region’s most prestigious universities.

A senior lecturer in the Department of Arts, UNILAG, Dr. Boniface Igbeneghu, who is also a pastor in the Foursquare Gospel Church was alleged to have been a major player in the “sex-for-grades” allegations.

However, BBC promised to continue with this investigation in order to bring these immoral lecturers to justice.
