(UPDATE) NATASHA VS AKPABIO: COURT RESTRAINS PARTIES FROM GRANTING INTERVIEWS

Read Time:39 Second

The Federal High Court in Abuja’s Justice Binta Nyako has prohibited parties to the lawsuit brought by suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan against Senate President Godswill Akpabio and three other individuals from speaking to the media about case-related topics.

Following a complaint from Akpabio’s attorney, Kehinde Ogunwumiju (SAN), that the plaintiff was hopping from television house to television house while giving press interviews on matters related to her case, which is still pending in court, Nyako issued the injunction on Friday.

In a decision, Justice Nyako stated that none of the parties or their attorneys would be allowed to speak to the media about the case’s topic.

Justice Nyako also barred parties and their lawyers from engaging in the streaming of proceedings in the case on social media.
