A widely circulated video has surfaced showing the arrest of a suspected bandit identified as Sule Yellow, who allegedly gained notoriety on TikTok by flaunting ransom money and showcasing criminal activities online.
The suspect was reportedly apprehended by personnel of the Nigerian Army shortly after allegedly receiving ransom payments from the family of a victim.
Security sources said the operation was intelligence-led, with troops tracking his movements for a period before intercepting him as he attempted to return to a forest hideout.
For several months, Sule Yellow was said to have built an online persona portraying himself as untouchable, frequently posting content allegedly linked to his criminal activities.
He is now in military custody as security agencies intensify efforts to dismantle a wider network believed to be connected to his operations.
Investigations are ongoing, with authorities not ruling out further arrests in connection with the case.
