The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, alongside Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo and Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, attended the inauguration of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council in Abuja on Wednesday.
Despite their affiliations with different political parties, the three politicians were appointed coordinators of the APC presidential campaign in Rivers State, the FCT, Anambra and Osun states, respectively, according to a list released on Tuesday.
Speaking at the inauguration held at the State Banquet Hall in Abuja, APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda praised the party’s organisational structure and political influence across the country.
“No political party in Nigeria has our structure. We have over 261,000 party executives, from the national to the ward levels,” Yilwatda said.

He also claimed that the APC had the support of 31 governors, alongside two political allies from the South-West and South-East representing the Accord Party and the All Progressives Grand Alliance, respectively.
Yilwatda further commended President Bola Tinubu’s administration, saying it had recorded significant achievements in its first three years in office.
“Never before has a president demonstrated achievements in terms of policies and projects that can be visibly touched, felt, seen and heard like President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” he said.
Those present at the inauguration included President Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, serving governors, lawmakers and other prominent political figures.
