Kanye West, an American musician, has apologized to anybody who have been offended by his recent anti-Semitic remarks.

West appeared on Piers Morgan’s Uncensored show on Wednesday, where the host called him out for making derogatory remarks about the Jewish community.

“I’m a bit sleepy tonight, but when I wake up, I’ll go death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE,” the rapper stated in one of the tweets that led to Twitter banning his account. The weird thing is that I can’t be anti-semitic because black people are Jewish as well. You fooled me and sought to blackball everyone who disagreed with your agenda.”

Kanye later clarified that Defcon 3 was what he meant in the tweet. Defence readiness condition (Defcon) is a military alert system that has five levels of readiness, with level one being the highest. Defcon 3 denotes a “increase in force preparedness above regular readiness.”

While he first doubled down on his views during the interview, West eventually admitted that he had wounded people and caused “confusion.”

When asked if he regretted tweeting “death con 3,” Kanye said, “No… Certainly not.”

Following that, the promo video shows him pulling a U-turn and apologizing.

“I’ll say I’m sorry for the folks I offended with the Defcon [statement], for the misunderstanding I caused,” he stated.

“I felt like I was causing pain and confusion.” “I’m also sorry for the families of those who had nothing to do with the anguish I’ve been through.” I simply want to say that it’s terrible to keep an apology hostage, and that I need to let go of that, release myself from the pain, and say, ‘Look, I’m just going to offer it all up to God right now.’

And tell the families I’ve affected, “I genuinely want to give you guys a big hug.” And I’d like to apologize for offending you with my remarks.”
