Passengers on a Nigerian Air Force plane panicked on Monday after the plane crashed-landed at Lagos’ Murtala Muhammed International Airport.

According to a source, the plane made an emergency landing on Runway 18R at the airport on Monday.

Our heritage reporter learned that there were six people on board and that no one was killed.

“An air force jet crashes lands on Runway 18R at Lagos International Airport,” the source said.

“It happened at the Lagos airport in an area known as “18 right.”

It had a landing gear issue, which meant that the tires would not come out for landing. The pilot made a wise decision by landing the plane in the woods.

“There were six people on board; they are all safe.” Similarly, in July 2019, a major air disaster was averted at the airport when an Air Peace Airlines B737 aircraft lost one of its front tyres.

The plane, which had 133 passengers on board, had just landed in Rivers State. It crashed as the pilot attempted to control the situation.

The incident resulted in no casualties.

According to reports, emergency personnel were on the scene to keep the situation under control.
