INEC NAMES CALEB MUTFWANG AS WINNER OF PLATEAU GUBER POLLS
Caleb Mutfwang, a candidate for governor of Plateau State in the Peoples Democratic Party, won the poll on Saturday.
After tallying the votes received by the parties that took part in the election, the Independent National Electoral Commission declared Mutfwang the winner, who defeated Nentawe Yilwatda of the All Progressives Congress.
Remember that around 11 a.m., when INEC commenced compiling results from the state’s 17 local government areas, it was reported that the PDP governorship candidate had taken an early lead?
However, the Returning Officer for the governorship election in the state and Vice Chancellor, Federal University, Lafia, Professor Idris Amali, declared the PDP candidate winner at exactly 3:33 on Monday afternoon after collating results from the 17 local government areas of the state .
