Nigerians have been constantly asking questions on the whereabout of their President-Elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as he has been out of Nigeria for a while now.

Some unspecified reports have it that Tinubu is out of the country for a surgery.

Bola Tinubu was declared winner of the just concluded 2023 Presidential election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), as he awaits his inauguration on 29th of May, 2023 as a successor of President Muhammadu Buhari, who will officially hand over to him on that day.

Recall that, on 22 March, Tinubu’s media aide, Tunde Rahma, mentioned in a statement tha his boss (Tinubu), had travelled abroad to rest, as he prepares to go to Saudi Arabia, to take part in the Umrah (Lesser Hajj), pray for the country and also, to plan his transition programme ahead of his forthcoming inauguration on 29th May, 2023.

Rahma also, warned the media to be mindful of what they report about his boss.

He said, “The President-Elect has decided to take a break in Paris and London after the campaign and election in preparation to perform the Umrah (Lesser Hajj), in Saudi Arabia and Ramadan fasting that started on Thursday” The statement reads.

According to a report, Bayo Onanuga, the Director of Media for the All Progressive Congress’s presidential campaign council, said the President-Elect was in France to rest before he assumes his new position as President of Nigeria.

He added that it’s not true that Tinubu was in France for a surgery as announced before he left for the European country.

An anonymous source has however, said that the President-elect is very fine and he is on working Holiday.

“Asiwaju is going to hit the ground running, so, he needs to conclude all arrangements before swearing in. My brother, please, take this assurance that there nothing whatsoever to worry about, our President-elect is very fine, he is on working holiday and will return to Nigeria at the right time.” he said
