I WILL NOT RETURN TO BELGIUM SQUAD WITH TADESCO, COURTOIS DECLARES
Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has vowed never to return to the Belgium squad under manager Domenico Tedesco.
Recall that the former Chelsea star was dropped from the squad for the Euro 2024 Championship due to injury.
However, Courtois, via his official Instagram handle, has stated that he won’t honour any national team invitation under Tadesco.
“I want to address the Belgian fans and supporters of our national team,” Courtois’ statement partly read.
“I feel privileged to have had the honor of wearing the national Jersey.
“Unfortunately, following the events with the coach and after much reflection, I have decided not to return to the Belgian national team under his management. In this matter, I accept my share of responsibility.
