LAGOS GOVT DISTRIBUTES MOBILE ELECTRONIC DEVICES TOWARDS EFFECTIVE TEACHING

The Lagos State Government, through the Lagos State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), has distributed mobile devices to Teachers in the six education districts in the State.

The Permanent Secretary, Princess Adebopo-Ismail Oyekan, on behalf of TESCOM Chairman, Mrs. Victoria Mopelola Peregrino, stated that the initiative is aimed at enhancing teaching efficiency and promoting digital learning in the state.

She emphasized that the use of these devices will improve instructional delivery, accelerate service efficiency, and empower teachers to leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) for more effective classroom engagement.

According to her, integrating technology into teaching will make lessons more interactive, accessible, and aligned with 21st-century educational standards.

They will also help teachers learn, unlearn, and relearn, enabling continuous professional development in the evolving digital education landscape.

The electronic devices provides access to vast information, enables personalized and flexible learning, foster teachers/student engagement, promote collaboration, and build essential digital literacy skills for a technology-driven world.

Permanent Secretary/Tutor Generals from the education districts at the short ceremony expressed their gratitude to the Lagos State Government and TESCOM for this innovative move, describing it as a significant step toward transforming education and promoting technology-driven teaching in Lagos State.
