Chairman and Founder of BUA Group, Abdul Samad Rabiu, has announced major financial incentives for Nigeria’s Super Eagles following their 2-0 victory over Algeria in the quarter-final of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

In a statement shared via his Instagram page on Saturday, Rabiu congratulated the team for their impressive performance, describing the win as a morale booster for the nation ahead of the decisive stages of the tournament.

“Congratulations to our Super Eagles players on a brilliant victory against Algeria! You have lifted the spirit of the nation, and we proudly cheer you on as you prepare for the semi-finals,” he wrote.

The industrialist further revealed performance-based rewards for the team, pledging a sum of $500,000 if the Super Eagles win their semi-final match, with an additional $50,000 for every goal scored. He also promised a total of $1,000,000 should Nigeria go on to win the AFCON trophy, alongside a bonus of $100,000 for each goal scored in the final.

Rabiu urged the players to remain focused and continue flying the nation’s flag with pride. “Wishing you continued success as you carry Nigeria forward. Keep making Nigeria proud. Proudly Nigerian,” he added.

Nigeria booked their semi-final place with a commanding 2-0 win over Algeria at the Stade de Marrakech on Wednesday. Victor Osimhen broke the deadlock shortly after the restart and later provided the assist for Akor Adams to seal the victory before the hour mark.

Osimhen, who was named Man of the Match, attributed the success to teamwork rather than individual brilliance. “For me, I just did my job. I tried to fight for the team and to get goals or assists, but the whole squad deserves praise,” he said.

The Super Eagles are set to face host nation Morocco in the semi-final of AFCON 2025 on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, by 9:00 p.m. at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.
