Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani, has strongly criticised U.S. President Donald Trump over his attempt to acquire Greenland.
In a post on his verified X handle on Saturday, Sani said Trump illegally stormed Venezuela and kidnapped their President and is now trying to seize Greenland.
The Media reports that Trump had indicated interest on annexing the Danish autonomous territory.
He said that controlling the mineral-rich island is crucial for US national security, given the rising military activity of Russia and China in the Arctic.
But the former Nigerian lawmaker in a social media comment alleged of Trump, “He illegally invaded Venezuela and kidnapped their President. He is threatening to seize Greenland by force.
He is reportedly threatening military action against other sovereign nations and appears indifferent to international law.
“He has transformed his Department of Defense into a Department of War. Yet, he still seeks a Nobel Peace Prize,” Sani stated
