‘I SAID BUILD A HOSPITAL, YOU STARTED WITH A MORTUARY’ – GOV ENO CRITICIZES CONTRACTOR

A video circulating online has captured Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno expressing frustration over the pace and order of work on a hospital project in the state.
Shared on Wednesday by Uche Nworah, former Special Adviser on General Duties to the Director-General of the Nigerian Meteorological Agency, the footage shows Governor Eno addressing a contractor during an inspection visit.
In the clip, the governor criticised the contractor for allegedly prioritising the construction of a mortuary over other essential hospital facilities.
“I said build a hospital and you started with a mortuary. Don’t say that again,” Eno was heard admonishing.
