Cristiano Ronaldo will leave Al-Nassr for the MLS if his dispute with the club isn’t resolved, according to Portuguese journalist Duarte Monteiro. The 41-year-old wants regular game time to stay fit for the 2026 World Cup and missed Al-Nassr’s last two Saudi Pro League matches against Al-Riyadh and Al-Ittihad.”

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner is reportedly frustrated with the PIF for not supporting Al-Nassr during the winter transfer window, while rival clubs like Al-Hilal received backing.

Tensions escalated when the PIF blocked Karim Benzema’s move from Al-Ittihad to Al-Hilal in the final days of the transfer period.

According to Portuguese journalist Duarte Monteiro, speaking via Kooora, Ronaldo “is frustrated because the club isn’t receiving enough support, and the directors don’t have the control they should. He wants regular game time ahead of the World Cup, which is his main focus. If no agreement is reached, he will move to the MLS.”

Ronaldo is currently under contract with Al-Nassr until summer 2027, with a reported exit option of €50 million. His immediate priority is to remain in the Saudi League and continue playing for the club.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano added that Ronaldo has informed top officials in the Saudi Pro League that he is considering leaving this summer.
