Former governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, said he might be arrested by the Federal Government,
which is led by the APC. El-Rufai, who is now a key leader in the opposition African Democratic Congress (ADC), made this statement during an interview with The Media on Wednesday. The former governor has been criticizing President Bola Tinubu’s government and the APC more strongly in recent months. The APC is the political party he led when he was governor of Kaduna State for eight years. He said some of his friends have already been arrested.
“Four people we worked with in Kaduna have been arrested; so it’s only a matter of time before they come for me too,” he stated.
El-Rufai’s remarks come against the backdrop of the arrest and ongoing trial of former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami.
