MILITARY FORCES KILL FOUR BOKO HARAM MILITANTS, RECOVER FIREARMS IN BORNO

Troops from Sector 1 under Operation HADIN KAI, working alongside members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), have neutralized four suspected Boko Haram militants during an operation in the Shehuri area of Konduga Local Government, Borno State.
Security sources told Zagazola Makama that the offensive took place around 9:15 a.m. on February 25 as part of Operation Desert Sanity IV, a continuous clearance campaign targeting insurgent strongholds across the North-East.
According to the sources, the troops intercepted and engaged the suspects, resulting in a gunfight.
“After the engagement, the area was thoroughly searched, and four insurgents were neutralized,” a source said.

Recovered from the scene were an AKSM automatic rifle, a pump-action rifle, along with cartridges and loaded magazines.
The sources further noted that the troops remain highly motivated and operationally effective, with clearance and dominance patrols ongoing throughout the state to weaken insurgent capabilities.
