On March 5, 2026, drones launched from Iranian territory struck Nakhchivan International Airport and nearby civilian infrastructure in Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan exclave.
According to Media report, at least two civilians were injured in the attack. One of the drones hit the airport’s passenger terminal, sparking a fire and damaging the skylight.
