FERNANDEZ NETS DEBUT GOAL, CELEBRATES SUPER EAGLES BREAKTHROUGH

Emmanuel Fernandez has expressed his delight after netting his first goal for the Super Eagles, The media reports.
The Rangers defender scored Nigeria’s second goal in their 2-2 draw against Jordan’s Al-Nashama on Tuesday night.

Fernandez had made his debut for Éric Chelle’s side in last Friday’s clash with Iran’s Team Melli.
The 24-year-old delivered an impressive performance in his second outing for the three-time African champions, contributing defensively and finding the net.
Born in London to Nigerian parents, Fernandez described representing Nigeria and scoring his first goal as a great honour.
“Honoured and grateful to play for Nigeria. First start, first goal. Enjoyable experience,” he wrote on X.
