VIDEO: MAYOR DELE OSHINOWO EMERGES WINNER OF APC HOUSE OF REPS PRIMARY IN KOSOFE, LAGOS STATE

The All Progressives Congress (All Progressives Congress) has officially declared Dele Oshinowo as the winner of its House of Representatives primary election for Kosofe Federal Constituency in Lagos State.
The result was announced at the collation centre by the Returning Officer, Gabriel Olusesan Dada, on Friday, May 16, 2026, after the conclusion of voting and collation from across the constituency.
Oshinowo secured a total of 18,614 votes to emerge victorious in the keenly contested primary. His closest rival, Yetunde Arobieke, polled 7,389 votes, while Remi Odunsi followed with 5,726 votes. Kafilat Ogbara scored 5,450 votes.
The Returning Officer announced the final figures amid tight security and the presence of party officials, delegates, and observers at the collation centre.
The declaration sparked jubilation among Oshinowo’s supporters and party faithful, who described the outcome as a reflection of his broad acceptance within the party structure in the constituency.
Party stakeholders present commended the peaceful conduct of the exercise, noting that the process reflected internal democracy within the APC.
The outcome effectively positions Oshinowo as the party’s flagbearer for the Kosofe Federal Constituency seat ahead of the 2027 general elections.
