JOAO FELIX MAKES CHELSEA HISTORY WITH RED CARD ON PREMIER LEAGUE DEBUT
Joao Felix’s became the first Chelsea player to be sent off on their Premier League debut following a reckless foul as Chelsea suffer a 2-1 defeat to rivals Fulham. He is also the first to do so for any club since Federico Fazio of Tottenham in October 2014 against Manchester City.
The Portugal international only joined on loan from Atletico Madrid on Wednesday but he started against Fulham. He was arguably the best player on the pitch before he was sent off in the 58th minute for a dangerous foul on Kenny Tete.
Kalidou Koulibaly cancelled out Willian’s opener but Carlos Vinicius’ header won it for the hosts. Chelsea have now won just one of their last nine games and they are ten points adrift of the top four in tenth.
It is their first Premier League defeat to Fulham in 17 years.
