UPDATE: AVIATION WORKERS CALL OFF STRIKE

The National Union of Air Transport Employees and Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, as well as the Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, have suspended the strike that began on Monday, January 23, 2023.
Frances Akinjole, Deputy General Secretary of ATSSSAN, confirmed this to our correspondent over the phone Monday afternoon.
“It’s been suspended, and they’ve agreed to begin salary negotiations with us,” he said.
Hotjist.com previously reported that international flights at Lagos’ Murtala Mohammed International Airport were grounded on Monday due to a strike by employees of the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc.
