JUST IN: INEC DECLARES ADAMAWA STATE GUBER ELECTION INCONCLUSIVE
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Monday has declared the governorship election in Adamawa State inconclusive.
The returning officer in charge of the governorship election in the state Professor Mohammed Mele, made the declaration after a disagreement between the parties ensued at the state collation center in Yola on Monday.
Hotjist previously reported that Aishatu “Binani” Dahiru of the All Progressives Congress was in second place with 365,498 votes, trailing PDP candidate and governor of Adamawa State Ahmadu Fintiri, who had 401,113 votes from 20 of the 21 local government resultsĀ that had beenĀ declared.
It was reported that PDP and APC officials were accusing one another of making attempts to tamper with the yet-to-be-declared FuforeĀ local governmet election results.
