BREAKING: COURT OF APPEAL UNANIMOUSLY UPHOLDS SENATOR ADELEKE AS OSUN STATE GOVERNOR
By Aishat Momoh. O.
The Court of Appeal has now overturned the Osun tribunal’s ruling that Adeleke did not receive the majority of valid votes during the July 16 governorship election.
After the state’s governorship elections, an election petition tribunal removed Adeleke from office on the grounds that the senator had not received a majority of valid votes in the governorship election on July 16.
The Court of Appeal, led by Justice Mohammed Shuaibu, unanimously overturned the tribunal’s decision and ruled that Adeleke is the legitimate governor of Osun State.
