The Mayoress of Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area, Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, has written to clear the air on a salient issue that has been causing confusion in respect to the Ikosi Modern Market in Ketu area of Lagos state.
The Mayoress explained some ways that residents and old shop owners can acquire lock-up shops in the new modern market.
She also mentioned in a statement that the market is Ultra-Modern because of it’s various international standard features and the amenities it has.
The Ikosi Fruit Market is divided into two different segment namely the key clamp shops (fruit section) where all the old occupants and fruit shop owners are conveniently relocated with more than 3000 highly spacious key clamp shops that has been commissioned by the Governor of Lagos, Babajide Sanwo-olu, while the second segment is a standard lock-up shops of over 2000 that are ready to be commissioned.
Princess Bada has however, set aside different methods in which interested members of the community can conveniently acquire the lock-up shops in question.
She said, “If you are interested in getting any of the shops, all you need to do is to pickup an application form, fill it and submit, then start making payment either in full of installment “.
This is in line with the Mayoress’ effort to enable residents of Ikosi-Isheri to conveniently get their desired shop space in any of the segments.
The statement also reads, “For people paying in installment, as soon as you make your first payment , you will be granted access into the shop, and when you complete your payment, the LCDA will issue an *ALLOCATION DOCUMENT* to you”
“Installment payment could be done daily, weekly, monthly depending on your suitability.”
“Special preference and packages are given to old shop owner in the new arrangement.”
“Your daily payment could be as low as 1000 naira only”
She assured residents that more facts will be unveiled the next edition of ‘What You Need To Know About Ikosi UltraModern Market’
