POLICE PARADES 40 SUSPECTS FOR ALLEGED ARMED ROBBERY, KIDNAPPING, OTHER CRIMINAL ACTIVITIES IN LAGOS

The Lagos State Police Command on Thursday, paraded a total number of 40 suspects over their involvement in armed robbery, stealing, cultism, drug trafficking, kidnapping and other criminal activities in some parts of the state.
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, while addressing the press during the parade at the Officers Mess in Ikeja, said that a total of 8 assorted firearms, sixteen live ammunition, six vehicles, one motorcycle, two axes, nine generators, seven TVs, two grinding machines, two knives, one home theater, twenty-seven phones, hard drugs and decomposing human hands, were recovered from these suspects.
He added that some of these suspects are those that were arrested in Ikorodu, Igando, Alaba and Ikeja respectively while noting that all suspects will be charged to court immediately.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa, presented awards of commendation and monetary compensation to nine Police Officers from Igando Division for their demonstration of exceptional operational capability, zeal and professionalism in carrying out their duties.
The CP however, assured Lagosians, that the command will keep doing everything operationally possible to ensure that crime and criminality is brought to its barest minimum in the state.
