LAGOS POLICE ARREST FIVE, RESCUES VICTIM DURING CULT INITIATION

Five accused cultists have been taken into custody by men from the Lagos State Command’s Tolu Division namely, Abdullahi Nasiru, 20, Peter Odumola, 19, Emmanuel Ikechuckwu, 19, and Promise Benjamin, 20.
The suspects were detained on Sunday, July 9, 2023, at about 2:00 a.m. as a result of receiving a distress call regarding a violent initiation that was taking place in a hotel in the state’s Ajegunle region.
The victim’s rescue was successful. When the investigations are finished, the suspects will be arraigned.
In order to help the police further clear the state of crime and criminality, Lagosians are urged to immediately report any suspicious activities in their communities to the police, according to CP Idowu Owohunwa, the commissioner of police for Lagos State Command.
