
BREAKING: COURT OF APPEAL DECLARES ZAMFARA GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION INCONCLUSIVE
The Zamfara State governorship election has been ruled inconclusive by the Court of Appeal, which is based in Abuja.
The victor of the election was proclaimed by the Independent National Electoral Commission as Dauda Lawal of the Peoples Democratic Party.
Bello Matawalle, the candidate for governor from the All Progressives Congress, had appealed the results of the March 18 governorship election to the tribunal, but his plea was denied due to a lack of merit.
The Court of Appeal ruled that the poll was inconclusive and directed INEC to conduct new elections in two local governments in its ruling on Thursday.
