
TINUBU MOURNS DEATH OF FORMER ANAMBRA GOVERNOR, EZEIFE
Following the loss of Chief Chukwuemeka Ezeife, the former governor of Anambra State, President Bola Tinubu has expressed his sympathies to the Ezeife family, the people, and the government of the state.
According to a statement from the family, Ezeife, who served as governor of Anambra from 1992 to 1993, passed away on Thursday at the Federal Medical Centre in Abuja at 6 p.m.
The president’s spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, released a press statement on Thursday in which Tinubu praised the former federal permanent secretary’s leadership qualities and immense influence in Nigerian politics. He also described the secretary’s passing as a tragic loss.
The President reminisced about the contributions the late Chief Ezeife made to the development of Nigerian public discourse and government, as well as to the establishment of the groundwork for the progress of his beloved state.
As he prayed for the beloved dead’s soul to rest, the president urged his family to find comfort in his lasting legacy.
