BREAKING: CUBANA CHIEF PRIEST PLEADS NOT GUILTY TO ABUSE OF NAIRA

During his trial at the Federal High Court in Lagos on Wednesday, businessman and socialite Pascal Okechukwu, also referred to as Cubana Chief Priest, entered a not guilty plea to charges of tampering and abusing the naira.
The Cubana Chief Priest was charged with three counts of abusing naira after he reportedly sprayed and tampered with the country’s currency during a social gathering, in violation of the Central Bank Act of 2007. The charges were brought before Justice Kehinde Ogundare of the Federal High Court in Lagos.
He however, pleaded not guilty to the three-count charge filed against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and was granted bail in sum of N10m.
It was claimed that on February 13, 2024, in the Eko Hotel, he sprayed the Naira.
It was also said that the Cubana Chief Priest had committed the charges while dancing at a social gathering.

According to report, he was said t tampered with funds in the denomination of N500 notes issued by the CBN by spraying the same for two hours.
