
BANDITS ATTACK MILITARY BASE IN NIGER, INJURES TWO SOLDIERS
After a bandit raid on a military base in Tegina, in the Rafi Local Government Area of Niger State, two troops were hurt.
The raid, which took place in the wee hours of Tuesday, also claimed the life of a bandit leader.
The event happened amid a gunfight between robbers and soldiers.
According to credible reports, the bandits were purportedly heading towards the state’s Mashegu and Wushishi local government regions in order to rustle certain herds of livestock when they came across soldiers.

In a phone conversation from Minna, Ayuba Katako, the Chairman of Rafi Local Government, stated that one of the bandits who was believed to be their commander was dead, and the two soldiers who were injured were responding to treatment at IBB Specialist Hospital Minna.
Katako went on to say that the state’s military, police, and vigilantes are doing a commendable job of protecting people’s lives and property while also working hard at it.
He bemoaned the ongoing assaults on the security guards. However, in order to defeat the threat of insecurity afflicting the state and all of Nigeria, he urged patience, support, and prayer.
