
WAFU-B: EDO QUEENS, OTHERS TO COMPETE AT WOMEN’S CHAMPIONS LEAGUE
Nigerian champions Edo Queens have been confirmed among the seven teams that will compete at the 2024 WAFU B Women’s Champions League.
Edo Queens will be joined by hosts FC Inter D’Abidjan of Cote d’Ivoire, Hasaacas Ladies of Ghana and Burkina Faso’s Ao Etincelle Du.
Ainonvi FC of Benin Republic, Niger Republic outfit AS GNN and ASKO FC of Togo are the other teams that will compete for honours at the competition.
Cote d’Ivoire will host the competition from August 10 to 24, 2024.
Ampem Darkoa defeated another Nigerian side, Delta Queens 1-0 in the final of the last edition.
The winner of the competition will represent the zone in the CAF Women’s Champions League.
