STOP MAKING JEST OF OTHER PRESIDENTS – OSINBAJO’S EX-AIDE TO OBASANJO
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has been urged to cease making fun of other presidents by Laolu Akande, a former spokesperson for Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
According to Akande, Nigeria is having problems with its political leadership.
His comments follow Obasanjo’s claim that President Bola Tinubu is “baba go-slow.”
The former president called the 2023 general elections a farce while speaking at Yale University’s Chinua Achebe Leadership Forum.
Additionally, he charged that the INEC had compromised the BVAS.
However, Akande stated that political difficulties in Nigeria can be connected to a leadership problem when speaking on the Channels TV show Inside Sources.
He said: “On #InsideSources yesterday, we took the view during the segment- MY TAKE that former presidents such as General Obasanjo should do better than merely making jest of other presidents.
“The Nigerian situation suffers from political leadership challenges, but even more serious is the deeper problem that itself produces the political leadership challenges.”
