TROOPS KILL NOTORIOUS BANDIT LEADER ‘YELLOW ABOKI’ IN ZAMFARA
“Yellow Aboki,” a notorious bandit leader and close companion of the late terror boss Hassan Bamamu, has been killed by troops conducting clearance operations in Zamfara State.
Yellow Aboki was neutralized in a recent meeting with Operation FANSAN YANMA forces in the northwest of Tsafe LGA, according to security sources who spoke to Zagazola Makama.
After the military’s successful operation to eliminate Hassan Dantawaye, also known as Bamamu, a notorious bandit commander and one of his closest allies, he was killed.
Following Bamamu’s passing, it was learned that Yellow Aboki had been establishing authority over illegal activity in Zamfara. He coordinated violent attacks and kidnappings in Bamamu, Dan Mali, Agamalafiya, and Makera.
Bandit kingpins in designated enclaves in Zamfara, Sokoto, and other unstable regions of the North West have been the target of a stepped-up military crackdown.
