KING SUNNY ADE IS SAFE AND NOT MISSING — MANAGER DISMISSES DAUGHTER’S CLAIM

Dayo Adegeye, one of King Sunny Ade’s sons and his manager, has denied reports that the music icon is missing amid the controversy surrounding his whereabouts. King Sunny Ade is also known as KSA.
Damilola Adegeye, the musician’s daughter, claimed on her Instagram page on Monday that her father was gone and that his stepbrother, Dayo, was keeping the music icon against his will.
However, Adegeye rejected the story, calling it spiteful and untrue, in an attempt to allay the public’s mounting worries, particularly since King Sunny Ade is currently one of the most popular figures on X in Nigeria.
Adegeye said in a statement released soon after Damilola’s accusations that the claim from KSA’s daughter was an intentional attempt to damage the name of the seasoned artist.
“We want to assure everyone that King Sunny Ade is safe, sound, and in good spirits,” Adegeye said.
“There is no truth whatsoever to the rumour of any kidnapping. We are working to trace the source of this misinformation and will take appropriate action.”
The manager further explained that Sunny Ade took a personal decision to maintain a low profile, purposefully for rest and private reflection, adding that it had nothing to do with any threat to his safety.
Adegeye further reassured fans and the public that the music legend remains deeply connected to his music and legacy, even if he has chosen, for now, to stay out of the spotlight.
