I STRUGGLED WITH DEPRESSION AFTER HYPE AROUND MY SONG ‘RAMADAN’ DIED DOWN – TOLIBIAN
Nigerian singer Tolibian has shared his experience battling depression following the decline in attention after his breakout hit, Ramadan, lost momentum.
The track gained massive popularity on social media during the Ramadan period between February and March 2025, eventually attracting a remix collaboration with rapper Odumodublvck.
However, in a recent chat with content creator Akin Abolade, Tolibian admitted that the fleeting nature of the song’s success led him into a period of emotional struggle and depression.
“After the buzz of ‘Ramadan’ faded, I became depressed at some point,” he said.
The singer, however, said he believes that the song would still trend during the next Ramadan, describing it as “evergreen.”
Tolibian promised to keep trying until he gets his next hit.
